February Workshops! (Times and location included)



VIU Community,

Check out the list of upcoming WRMC events for February (below).  All events are from 11:30 am-approximately 12:30pm and will be held in the Student Center. They are free and open to the public (registration preferred by e-mailing wrmc@viu.edu). 

February 9th: E-mail Etiquette

The purpose of this event is to help students understand how to communicate with faculty, staff, and employers via e-mail. This presentation will
show students the difference between formal and informal e-mails, and word choice that helps create strong e-mails. (Instructor: Aziza Mirkhanova)


February 16th: APA Formatting
 This event is intended to help students understand how to format their papers as per APA style guidelines. Students will understand how to set up APA, headers, levels, titles, and sections.

February 23rd: Essay Structure Workshop
This event will help students understand the basic components of a college level, academic essay. Students will understand how each component related to the other, for example, how topic sentences relate to the thesis statement. (Instructor: Loubna Salagh).
